Just like the many sharks swimming in Congress, China’s newest star lawyers simply have no heart

LawyerCartoonSharks

If our Congress ever gets back in session, forty percent of the members will have passed the Bar – far fewer than a hundred years ago, when nearly 80 percent of our legislators were lawyers.

And the good news is that soon there may be even fewer lawyers in Congress, eventually none, because the legal “profession” is headed to extinction.

Don’t we need a nearly inebriated buffoon to charge us $600 an hour to fight a traffic ticket, a slick con man to “help” us get swindled, or maybe just the assistance of a voracious ambulance chaser, who jacks up our insurance rates with outlandish settlements?

For example, we now have 10,000 immigration lawyers in the United States (probably 90% of the world’s lawyers practicing in this field), partially because the U.S. has the most complex set of immigration laws and the largest immigration bureaucracy of any country. Complex always means higher fees for attorneys.

Incredibly, the big law firms are now even recruiting H-1B Visa candidates from places like Australia to swell their ranks even more.

Hope is on the way. Imagine very few lawyers in America, saving us all a fortune in hot air and cold cash. Continue reading →

Microsoft has massive layoffs; H-1B hires continue, and foreign workers now far outnumber Americans

Bill Gates – looking for ways to get even richer!

Thursday was another bad day for American jobs as Microsoft – the once All American innovator – began to end the livelihoods of 3,000 families, a process called “downsizing” by the elites.

A spokesperson for founder Bill Gates called this job slaughter simply “changes” to “better serve our customers and partners.”

Today, we are taking steps to notify some employees that their jobs are under consideration or that their positions will be eliminated,” the Microsoft spokesperson told CNBC. “Like all companies, we evaluate our business on a regular basis. This can result in increased investment in some places and, from time-to-time, re-deployment in others.

Meanwhile, foreign workers are being hired by the Seattle gang through the H-1B visa and Optional Practical Training (OPT) program. Microsoft is  one of the top recruiters of the some 330,000 foreign nationals (in 2016), who get to remain in the U.S. after graduating from Continue reading →

India lobbies, Congress listens, we lose our jobs

An adjunct professor at the University of New South Wales has revealed the depth and danger of lobbying by India to end jobs for Americans and replace them with H-1B holders. In an interview Ashok Sharma said lobbying has not diminished under Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Donald Trump, who campaigned against H1B visas. In fact, the opposite seems true, as Sharma explained:

Since Modi’s arrival and reactivation of Indian lobbying in the post-nuclear deal phase, H-1B visas is the first major issue to show its strength and effectiveness. Indian lobbying has suddenly become active, especially to tackle the US move to curb H-1B visas.

It has also evolved in strength and strategy since its inception phase in the 1990s. It’s now well-organized, coordinated and more focused in its approach. But they will need to focus on individuals and officials who are influential in the Trump administration.

Sharma said that a multi-pronged approach will allow Indians to take Continue reading →
