Biden to promote Bernie Sanders’ worst political enemy to control O.M.B., where he needs her approval for all spending initiatives

Biden-Harris ran on the most progressive economic and racial justice platform of any general election nominee ever. Now, isn’t the time to hand over the keys to corporate lobbyists.- Sen. Elizabeth Warren

Tanden on the warpath

When two of the leading Progressives in American politics blast the Democrat President-in-waiting, there’s trouble in D.C., and the name of that danger outlined above is Neera Tanden, Joe Biden’s pick for heading the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

It’s not just that she runs the corporate-prostrated Center for American Progress (CAP), and is a total supplicant of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Nor is it her passionate desire for more “highly-skilled” Indian visa-holders to replace American workers. In a seeming conflict of interest both of Neera’s parents were born in India, versus only one for Kamala Harris – Biden’s vice president choice – who also urges more Asian visa immigration.

The biggest rap in the liberal corridors is that Neera deserves nearly total credit (infamy?) for crushing Sen. Bernie Sanders in his bids for the White House,

Tanden is famous for two things: having a puddle of DNC talking points in place of a cerebrum, and despising Bernie Sanders. She was #Resistance’s most visible anti-Sanders foil, spending awe-inspiring amounts of time on Twitter bludgeoning Sanders and his supporters as a deviant mob of Russian tools and covert “horseshoe theory” Trump-lovers, Taibbi said recently

David Sirota, columnist for The Guardian, tweeted:

IMO, it is not a coincidence that they are putting Neera Tanden — the single biggest, most aggressive Bernie Sanders critic in the United States of America — specifically at OMB while Sanders is Senate Budget Committee ranking/chair.

The New York Post reported today that Tanden appears to have recently deleted more than 1,000 tweets that targeted lawmakers, whose vote she will need for confirmation. CYA at its most obvious.

Tanden’s current boss is Tom Daschle, chairman of the Board at CAP, and the former Senate Majority leader who was caught not paying income taxes in 2008, when he tried to become Health and Human Services (HHS) secretary under Barack Obama.

Other CAP board members include Stacey Abrams, a Bilderberg attendee, who believes she is the Georgia governor, and Bill Clinton’s Chief of Staff, John Podesta (Trilateral Commission member), a former consultant to the HJW Foundation, a nonprofit group led by Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss, who is also a CAP director.

Podesta founded CAP and is also known for having thousands of his emails hacked after using “password” as his password, according to Julian Assange, founder of Wikileaks, which published them.

But Tanden is not just known for vehement advocacy and opposition to the Progressive wing of the Democrat party. She has made it personal.

Every prominent media figure with even a vague connection to Sanders learned in recent years to expect mud-drenched push-back from waves of “Neera trolls” after any public comment crossing DNC narratives. No name in blue politics is more associated with seething opposition to Sanders than Tanden, Taibbi explained.

Some Tweets sum up the opposition to Tanden:

Neera Tanden supports cuts to the social safety net, which, like a Republican, she refers to as “entitlements.” Biden supported cuts to Social Security. And so does his team. About half of Black seniors rely on Social Security for 90% or more of their retirement income. – Briahna Joy Gray,  contributing editor at Current Affairs

Really excited Biden is hiring an all star team of girl bosses to prevent universal healthcare and communicate to the press why his corporate pro-war policies that make people miserable are super great. I might not be able to afford medicine but I feel empowered as a woman. – Rania Khalek, The Intercept

Joe Biden keeps saying that he wants to be president for all Americans, but his corporatist cabinet picks show he will be president for Wall Street, giant corporations, and Americans who are comfortable with the status quo. – Ryan Knight, host of “Amped Up with Ryan Knight”

There is a weird troll network that exists around Neera Tanden on here and we should talk about it. Tanden not only engages with and encourages them, she knows some personally. Their role is targeting critics of Tanden and her allies with accusations of bigotry and even libel. – Walker Bragman, Huffington Post
