Do French leaders know what the Arab public watches on Palestinian television?
The history of France and the Nazi empire, especially the Vichy government, some of whose senior officials were tried for crimes against humanity, will reach another hate plateau with a May 30 meeting of Arabs and Europeans that will push for an end to Israel.
The Vichy strain in France continues to this day, even denying the French participation in the deportation of Jews for extermination ( link shows timeline of crimes) in Nazi concentration camps, abuses of prisoners, and severe acts against members of the Resistance. Few of the perpetrators were ever punished.
The French have scheduled this Arab-led Israel conference before the U.S. November elections. Do they believe the current administration and its preening Secretary of State are more amenable to their Arab-centric efforts than a new face in the White House? The answer may be yes, as our President strains for a legacy of mostly appeasing the enemies of peace at the expense of America’s friends.
“There is no other solution to the conflict other than a two-state solution, Israelis and Palestinians living side by side in peace and security with Jerusalem a shared capital,” Jean-Marc Ayrault said in a joint statement to four of his favorite newspapers – Liberation, the Wall Street Journal, Al-Quds al-Arabi and Haaretz .
The French final soluition for the conflict will be based on the official 2002 Arab League proposal, he said. That proposal urged:
“1. Requests Israel to reconsider its policies and declare that a just peace is its strategic option as well.
“2. Further calls upon Israel to affirm:
I- Full Israeli withdrawal from all the territories occupied since 1967, including the Syrian Golan Heights, to the June 4, 1967 lines as well as the remaining occupied Lebanese territories in the south of Lebanon.
II- Achievement of a just solution to the Palestinian refugee problem to be agreed upon in accordance with U.N. General Assembly Resolution 194.
III- The acceptance of the establishment of a sovereign independent Palestinian state on the Palestinian territories occupied since June 4, 1967 in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
“3. Consequently, the Arab countries affirm the following:
I- Consider the Arab-Israeli conflict ended, and enter into a peace agreement with Israel, and provide security for all the states of the region.
II- Establish normal relations with Israel in the context of this comprehensive peace.
In short, Israel will be shrunk to a tiny land mass and forced to allow millions of Arabs to take over the government with right of return and their votes. In exchange Israel will get a piece of paper saying the “conflict is ended.”
The U.N. Resolution 194 referenced in the Arab League plan said:
Resolves that the refugees wishing to return to their homes and live at peace with their neighbours should be permitted to do so at the earliest practicable date, and that compensation should be paid for the property of those choosing not to return and for loss of or damage to property which, under principles of international law or in equity, should be made good by the Governments or authorities responsible; Instructs the Conciliation Commission to facilitate the repatriation, resettlement and economic and social rehabilitation of the refugees and the payment of compensation, and to maintain close relations with the Director of the United Nations Relief for Palestine Refugees and, through him, with the appropriate organs and agencies of the United Nations;
The United States, France and the United Kingdom voted for this plan, which would allow millions of people, who were told to leave Israel by the Arab governments, to demand money or citizenship, including even the descendants of the soldiers who invaded the country in 1948.

Today’s French advocates of 194 do not mention that a number of countries voted against the resolution: Afghanistan, Byelorrusian SSR, Cuba, Czechoslovakia, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Ukrainian SSR, USSR, Yemen, Yugoslavia. They wanted the destruction of Israel, not peace.
The May conference will include the Middle East Quartet (the United States, Russia, European Union and United Nations), the Arab League, the U.N. Security Council and some 20 other countries. The Palestinian Authority has already endorsed the conference, realizing that the Arab League promoting an Arab League initiative has to be good news for them and very bad news for an Israel to be pushed back to a 13-mile width in an age of ICBMs.
